While most people look for careers after they graduate, I have been saving money to travel to Argentina with my girlfriend. We decided that our only opportunity to travel is while we are young, so we committed ourselves to this plan. It has been very difficult and at times a pain, but it will all be worth it once we are down there. We do have a plan for when we return. We both have jobs lined up, so we want to enjoy avoiding reality for as long as possible. We want to see everything we can while perfecting our Spanish.
This article offers ideas on how to display small works of art on a large wall without losing impact and effect. The author provides tips for grouping artworks and how to relate disparate pieces to create a cohesive display. She also discusses the importance of frame and mat sizes and colors and how to mix framed art with other types of wall art. The article includes designer framing methods for making a small artwork look larger and talks about the importance of protecting artwork with UV protected glass. The author wraps up by suggesting ideas for presenting small non-framed pieces of art.
Arranging few art pieces on home walls will give a pleasant look and a great soothing effect for dwellers. There are many ways one can start decorating the walls, for example – if anyone in the family is a good painter then some of those paintings or drawings can be arranged (very cost effective you see!). Another way is painting abstract art on the walls with vivid wall art decor (I saw it in one of the ads (Disney Range) http://www.nerolac.com/media-tvc) Green enthusiasts can look at growing wall creepers (though it depends on the wall). Virginia Creeper like climbers with their large red leaves is a fantastic display against an old red brick wall. The conventional way is to decorate with paintings and specially selected appealing handicrafts which can be wall mounted or hanged.
I live in the Rocky Mountain State. I have lived in California and Massachusetts. Colorado is by far my favorite. I enjoy the snow, the mountains, and the lovely weather here. Colorado gets over 300 days of sunshine and the winters aren’t frigidly cold. It will snow 3 feet and the next day all of that snow will be gone. We don’t have to worry about icy roads because the snow melts so quickly. In fact, the day after a snowstorm it tends to be very warm and at times in the 70s. The economy is very reasonable to live in. High-end homes aren’t as expensive as in most states and the job market is very good.
Many people enjoy the outdoors. There are many things a person can to make their home feel like a back country lodge. Color choice is a good place to start. Forest greens and blues are a great way to provide an outdoor cabin feel to one’s home. Using outdoor large wall art such as pictures of animals (wolves, deer, etc…). Lamps, tables, and other furniture made out of logs are a good way to add to this theme. Mounted fish or other animals are another great form of large wall art to add to the feel of a lodge type setting. Another thing that can be used to tie a room together is outdoor/native American style rugs. When all or some of these things are put together a person can be living in downtown New York and feel as if they are in the mountains of Montana.
It is only October but there is snow in Colorado. Today, I had to put a coat, pants, and boots on. It seems like the other week I was in shorts, t-shirt, and sandals. Actually, I was wearing that last week. The weather here is so drastic that in a couple days it can turn from 70 degrees to 30 degrees. I refrained from wearing a snow hat because I am going to work and don’t want my hair to be messed up. But a snow hat is common for this current weather. I am not wearing a snow jacket but a nice, warm jacket that is appropriate for work.
My favorite TV show is Southpark. I like Southpark not because of the crude humor, but because of the political insight they have on the show. The creators are geniuses. They incorporate everyday world problems through these kids and show how incompetent our leaders are for allowing these problems to continue. At the end of every episode the kids figure out the solution for the problems. For example, Southpark made fun of the government during this recent economic recession. One kid on the show tries to return his dad’s margarita maker. He is told that the government owns the margarita maker because of a bailout. So he goes to the treasury department and the government offers him $90 trillion for the margarita maker.
My girlfriend means more than anything to me. We have been together for three years and have traveled the world. We spent a summer in Spain together, we have traveled to Mexico, Israel, San Diego, San Francisco, and in January we are going to Argentina. We finally moved in together about two months ago and still have had no problems. I can’t imagine a life without her. She is someone who picks me up when I am down and has kept me in the right direction of life. I have no doubt that she is the one, but I am going to wait until after Argentina to ask her the big question.
