There is an unwritten law that beautiful people even if they are not so intelligent, achieve more in life compared to people who don’t have that perfect look.
The way we look undoubtedly affects our career. Personal appearance of employees is important for bosses because beautiful people are more representative, communicative and are simply a delight for the eyes. And when I am talking about beautiful people I don’t mean ladies with silicone breast or collagen injected lips. Most employers believe that hiring people who are meticulous in their appearance, they are probably to be immaculate and meticulous in their work as well.

I do not know for the rest of you, but I believe that sewing tapestries is a kind of art. I love sewing just for pleasure. It also works with me as a healing process and helps me relax and calm my nerves.

Anytime I feel angry or furious I get my tapestry and start sewing. I guess it’s a good anger management technique. I may not be good at drawing but tapestries are something else. Sometimes my masterpieces are better than the most beautiful painting you can imagine.

My pride, which I embroidered for two years, is a tapestry called the “Pianists”.

Last week I came back from a wonderful holiday in Kusadasi in Turkey. It was my first visit to Turkey ever, and to be pretty honest, it exceeded my expectations. Kusadasi is a 5-star resort with amazing azure sea and beautiful nature. The Aegean Sea is very warm and its beached are very sandy and yellow, just like gold. …and the attractions, what can I say about the attractions. The local aqua park was presented to us as one of the ten biggest aqua parks in the world. For just 20 euros per person we enjoyed a whole day full of great water adventures. And the food…oh, the Turkish cuisine, it’s mouth watering.

My girlfriend has 3D metal wall art in her bedroom and she seems very emotionally attached to it. Once I offered her to give her one of my paintings (I paint as a hobby) and suggested to her to hang it instead of the 3D art. She didn’t like the idea and was obviously irritated with my idea. I asked her who gave it to her but she refused to tell me which aggravated the situations. I know she genuinely loves my paintings and I don’t understand her why she is acting so weird. I know this wall art isn’t from her family. Then it must be from an old boyfriend. I hope she is not keeping it with the hope to rekindle an old flame.

Being sexy and provocative at 39 means nothing if you are still single and have no children. A friend of mine, whom applies the above description, has finally realized that. On her 39th birthday she admitted of dreaming to become a mother. Though she hopes that to happen sooner, she is still not sure if she is ready or not. That’s something I can’t understand. Moreover that she has a long term relationship with her partner who adores her. I forgot to mention that my friend is famous. In brief, she is famous and rich and has the love of a loyal man…what is she waiting for then?

I have been making and icing cakes since I was 14 yrs old. Cake decorating and dressmaking were my early hobbies that have stayed with me through the years. I have never had any proper training and I just read books and practiced. Well, 3 years ago I did a 12 week course at college to learn how to make flowers from icing. I had taught myself to ice flowers with soft icing that you pipe through a nozzle but this course was to learn how to make flowers from molding icing onto wire and then make them into bouquets.

We should have been going shopping today but the weather is very bad again today. Nick went into the garden this morning and was blown over by the wind, so we decided to stay at home. We were in the house every day last week. We had booked a trip on Wednesday to the Metro Centre – a large shopping mall near Newcastle. However, the weather was so bad that they cancelled all the bus trips. On the next day I went to the Metro Centre with our oldest daughter by car. It was her day off. Nick stayed at home as he hates shopping. He isn’t an exception – all men hate shopping.

I enjoyed seeing a little of Constanta. It was a lovely warm day. We were there for 1-2 hours and had a good walk round. We enjoyed the park very much. We sat on the seats overlooking the sea. I did notice on our coach tour that they have the same problem with graffiti as we do in England. Not so much where we live as we are surrounded by farmland. But in the towns it can be really bad. From Romania we went on to Ukraine and stopped at 3 ports. We enjoyed Yalta best. We found Ukraine very cold which surprised us as we thought it would be warm. Even on the ship with the heating on we had to keep going back to our cabin to get warm.

There is something unique about Shakira’s voice and I would always recognize it among hundreds others. Although I am not a musician, neither have I any musical background or can offer any expert opinion, I can realize when somebody is truly gifted and talented. Since I watched and listened to Shakira’s debut song ‘Whenever, wherever’ I was sure it would become a great hit. Most of her following songs shared the same fate. My favorite one, though, remains her first hit. I am bilingual and love its Spanish version as well. Shakira’s last hit, the one dedicated to the 2010 world cup, is also very successful.
