Superstitious

When I change even a slightest detail in my morning routine, everything becomes a complete mess. I didn’t think I am superstitious but the facts prove me wrong. Yesterday I got up and started making my coffee but instead of the standard way I put first the sugar and cream, and coffee is the last part. Yesterday I did it opposite and things got really wrong. I made a mess in the cupboard, dropped my glasses on the street and then I had problem in work all day. I wish I had right to stop the day and turn it back again to the start. At least it showed me that things don’t depend on us times.

A Photo to Remember

TOWNSVILLE, AUSTRALIA - FEBRUARY 03: A Townsv...

One of my favorite hobbies is taking photos. Last week I bought a new digital camera with very advanced features. Since that day I’ve been literary out in the streets taking pictures of everything I see. Till today I couldn’t find the one photo I was looking for to capture. When I entered my house I found my wife and son sleeping on the couch in front of the TV. They must have fallen asleep while watching. My son was laying next to his mom in the most amazing image I’ve ever seen. All of this time this photo has been in front of me but I didn’t see it. I took the picture and later I showed it to my wife she loved it and now we have it on the wall in our living room.

Positive

There are ups, there are downs, but the point is, as my math teacher says, that the slope of your curve makes a form of a glass that can be filled. Succeed to picture it? If you have problems with that, you definitely need to start your life or at least the adjustment of living again. Positive thinking is not a gift. You just have to teach yourself slowly and systematically. Don’t expect anyone else to help you in this. Everything happens deep in your mind and there is no one who can get inside your head. Just activate your power and be sure that the result will not be late.

Trust

It is really hard to get a good job now. Most people who are working currently something interesting and good for their futures have started there trough someone who recommended for them. I think it comes from the fact that people nowadays are far more suspicious. The managers don’t want to give a job to someone they know only by one or two meetings and an autobiography which may be full of lies. I hope future will give us safety so we can be much more trustful to the people around. The world is big and full of people who deserve our attention even though they are not in the circle of friends we have.

What To Talk about During Lunch?

I never spare my wife a comment on her food and the way she prepares it. That doesn’t bother her at all. On the contrary, it helps her get better or keep on the same way. Today during lunch we had another topic. I told her about an old friend of mine whom I accidentally met today. She was a schoolmate and we had a lot of nice memories together. My wife started asking me a lot of questions about her and I felt that she was not so comfortable about it. May be it was better if I had stuck to our usual topic – the food.

First Cruise Ever

My husband and I were looking at the job ads in a newspaper when we noticed an appealing ad about a cruise offering a great deal. We had never done something like this before, just to go out there and try a new adventure, so we decided to give it a try and see how life at sea was. A friend of mine was on a cruise before and he liked it a lot, we went to the agency office and did all the arrangements. We packed our luggage for a week, and one Sunday morning we arrived at the dock side waiting for the ship to arrive and it was there full of lights and life. We made a lot of friends on board and we had the time of our life and now we are planning for the next cruise.

I’m a DIY Guy

When you tell your friends that you’re planning to renovate your home the first question you might be asked is whether you will use a professional help or you will do everything yourself. For me, hiring a pro is out of a question, not only because relying on my own skills helps me save money but also because I do enjoy doing everything by my own hands. I’ve just changed the floor and wall tiles as well as all appliances in the bathroom by myself and as a final touch I’ll add that interesting bathroom metal wall decor piece, which my wife recently bought from a garage sale. I love this kind of art as it will give more personality to the bathroom and the whole renewing experience itself.

Showcasing a Stone Fireplace

A stone fireplace is always a welcome addition to any room. It naturally adds to the aesthetic of the room, creating an instant focal point and serving as inspiration for the room’s decorative accessories. Therefore, when decorating a home it is a must to pay special care and attention to the fireplace to make sure its splendor is adequately presented. Although it is relatively easy to exhibit a stone fireplace you will still need a bit of advance planning. Therefore, to enjoy a spectacular and impressive stone fireplace make sure to carefully choose and coordinate your pieces and colors.

My Baby is Going Away

I am torn asunder with pain. Katie got a great job offer in LA and she’s going there, you can’t miss out on a good career opportunity in these times. But that also means I get to see her like twice a month. How sad is that? I know myself well, as much as I love her, this probably won’t last long. Katie needs me to be faithful and seeing her so rarely won’t help my fidelity at all. Yeah, I am a bastard, I want to be different, I haven’t yet done anything and I will do my best to avoid all infidelity, but I just don’t think I will succeed. Katie is acting as if we can make it through, I bet she believes it too, and I am conflicted with feelings of guilt and hope. My baby is going away, I will sleep alone in my bed and there will be nobody to spoon with- the sad reality of all this upon me.

Nothing Has Changed after 20 years

It’s very rare for friendships started at high school to last for years after graduations. Rare, yes….not impossible, though. My two best high school friends and I were once inseparable. The year before graduation we decided to set a tradition and meet every Friday evening at a local cafe. That was almost 20 years ago and we are still doing it. The only difference is that with families on our own we can afford to meet just once per month – the last Friday of the month. What actually helped us preserve our friendship all of these years is the fact that none of us moved to study or live somewhere else. Just like our friendship the place where we meet hasn’t changed at all during all these years. There is still the same sweet cinnamon scent inside, the same coffee cup wall art, and the same excellent service.
